Usually authors have an idea about how they want their book to look but we also make suggestions and give alternatives on different styles and fonts etc to create a fabulous look. It’s a good idea to go to the bookshop and spend some time familiarising yourself with current trends.

Once the design has been established, actually placing the copy is quite time consuming because each line needs to be spaced properly and widows and orphans eliminated etc.

The cost of designing a template and then laying out the copy is generally between R3 000 and R5 000, depending on the number of pages and the amount of work involved.
